BIG UPDATES ON WNW
We’ve been working hard the last few weeks making improvements to the site. We’ll be rolling out new features as they’re ready. Some small, some larger, all designed to create a better tool for hiring and getting hired.
Below is an outline of some of the new features. We’ve taken into account the feedback and suggestions we’ve gotten over the past year from our members. And there's a lot more features on the way.
We’ve also been nominated for a Webby. If you haven’t already, please login and vote for Working Not Working. If WNW wins, we all win!
How to Be On Top
To assure that the top search results contain creatives that are available when they say they are, the search will now filter by people most recently active on the site, not Vouches. Results can still be re-sorted by most Vouches at the top of the list.
Custom Notes
Managers, now you can create notes on a freelancer’s profile that only you can see. Keep track of things they’ve worked on in the past, rates or just their favorite beer so you can get them a nice gift. They love that.
Custom Lists
Within the new notes, you can create and add custom lists that will appear to the left of your Dashboard under My Lists. Make lists for specific projects or clients like “Comedy Writers”, “Ringers”, or “Tech Nerds”. Drag and drop creatives into lists then easily share that list with your creative director or co-worker by email.
Let's Get Connected
Now connect your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts so hirers you already know can find you. Managers, connect and get a list of freelancers and easily follow them. Don't worry, we won't post any crap to your wall. We hate that too.
The British are Coming!
And the Canadians! Our little WNW community is about to branch out. We'll soon begin our Toronto and UK beta. Expect to see some top non-US talent trickling on in the next few weeks.
See Who’s Following You
Creatives, you can now see who follows you by clicking on the follower button below your photo. If you know more hirers than the followers you see, share your profile with them and get them on board. Linking to your WNW profile on your portfolio site couldn't hurt either.
Improved Background Options
Studies show that hirers are 1000x more likely to click your portfolio link if they see work they like on your background. Your work is what separates you from the crowd so show it off. Now choose to tile your background or select the full-screen option to scale whatever sweet image you create to the size of the browser.
"Talk to my people."
If you’re fancy and have a manager or a rep, you can now use the "Contact my rep" button to drive to their email instead of yours. Made especially for our photographers and illustrators.
Instagram and Etsy
Link your Instagram and Etsy accounts to pimp your superior applying-a-filter-to-photos skillz or your shop.
