WNW's 5th Birthday Party: Recap
Early this winter, we came up with a new strategy in our "Planning of Epic Events" meeting. Two for you... and one for us. We kicked things off on a balmy December night in Los Angeles with our 5th Annual Working Not Working Holiday Party. That was for you. Next, in late January, we relaunched Working Not Working with a ton of new features. That was also for you. But then, we decided to throw ourselves a 5th birthday party. That was definitely for us. We filled one of our favorite venues Schimanski with everything that a 5-year-old would ever think to ask for... and more. We're birthday divas like that. We're talking a ball pit photo booth, a money booth, a mountain of melting ice cream cakes, inflatables of all shapes and sizes, balloons, Cinderella, a Minion, Elmo, a Ninja Turtle, and piñatas filled with candy and stuff a 5-year-old doesn't need to know about.
Our adorable little 5-year-old brains wouldn't be as filled with wonder and excitement for the next 5 without our sponsors. Big cheers to Mother, as well as Mount Gay Rum, Ponysaurus Brewing and Narragansett Beer for the libations and Melt Shop and Make Sandwich for the grilled cheese and sandwich stations. Unbeatable pairing.
A shout out to DJs Va$htie + WNW Member Jonny Santos for running the dance floor with new tracks and classics we first heard when we were 5. And a very special thanks to Collected Works (WNW Members Justin Colt & Jose Fresneda) for handling all the visuals on the projectors and bathroom walls, as well as helping us put together all the nonsense. And to videographer (and WNW Member) Stephen McFadden, ball pit photographer Damien Noble Andrews, and photographer Patrick MacLeod for all capturing the ruckus.
Last of all, thanks to all of you who celebrated us with us. Until next time, enjoy the video above, the photos below, and the party's Facebook album.
