It’s Nice That Is Celebrating 100 Years of the Bauhaus in Printed Pages AW18
WORKING NOT WORKING
In the latest installment of Printed Pages, It’s Nice That’s biannual publication, the London-based in-house team have made it their mission to celebrate creativity at work all over the world… and in the past 100 years. Front and center is a feature on the Bauhaus school and its century-old legacy, honored and unpacked alongside Pentagram partner Sascha Lobe.
There are also interviews and features with Moroccan-born artist Hassan Hajjaj, Eike König and the revered After School Club held in Offenbach, Nigerian designer Lemi Ghariokwu who is behind 26 of Fela Kuti’s 56 iconic albums, and Tracy Ma, visual editor of The New York Times’ style section, who started her career at Bloomberg Businessweek . Accompanying these features and more is a formidable array of illustration and photography by Max Guther, WNW Member Sophie Koko Gate, David Williams and Nina Manandhar, supplementing the voices of interviewees such as A. Savage, Jerry Saltz, and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
Printed Pages is a digest of It’s Nice That’s digital highlights, capturing the current landscape of design and the arts, and in using print, recognizing the importance of tangibility in these endeavors.
