ModMag Invites You to Hear From the Most Exciting Figures in Contemporary Magazine Publishing

WORKING NOT WORKING

If you’re a publishing professional, design and journalism student or graduate, or anyone with a creative curiousity, ModMag is an event that should be on your radar. And we’re not just saying that because we’re excited to be partnering for ModMag New York 2019.

In the digital age, the ability to develop an editorial voice has been democratized. ModMag is a chance to hear from leading editorial practitioners about how they developed their own voice and are adapting in a changing environment. The New York-based event has programmed a series of talks that will center around the shifting meaning of a “magazine” in today’s multi-platform world and feature editors and art directors from some of the most innovative names in magazine publishing. The purpose is to celebrate the power of magazine creativity, and given the names of the speakers on the lineup, this is primed to be a revelatory event. It’s a chance to hear from the likes of Jody Quon, the Director of Photography at New York magazine; Douglas McGray, Pop-Up Magazine and The California Sunday Magazine Co-founder and editor; Nicholas Blechman, Creative Director at The New Yorker; Nathalie Kirsheh, the Creative Director of Glamour; and many more.

ModMag is produced by magCulture, led by founder Jeremy Leslie and producer Stephanie Hartman, and in collaboration with the teams at Parsons School of Design and AIGA NY.

ModMagNYC will take place on Wednesday May 29th at Parsons School of Design, If you’re based in London, stay tuned. They’ll be back at Conway Hall for ModMagLDN.
