Swag Alert: Working Not Working Hats
WORKING NOT WORKING
A lot of our members have been hitting us up for some more WNW swag, ever since our super-limited run of WNW shirts and crewneck sweatshirts a couple years back. Lately, we’ve been busy regularly hooking up a lot of our members’ newborns with “Pooping Not Pooping” onesies, but figured it was time to make something for our full-sized members again.
So we partnered with Flexfit and WNW Members Marta Cerda, Jon Contino, Faust, and Alex Trochut to bring you 4 beautifully-designed caps. Scroll down to hear from each artist on the inspiration behind their design. If you’ve attended one of our holiday parties in Los Angeles, New York, or London, you may have been able to snatch one. (Hint: Keep coming to our events.) But we do have a few to give away right now. Head to our Instagram, follow us, and comment with which hat design you want. We’ll select some winners at random. *Limited Quantity*

Marta Cerdà
"The capital letter for W is a fun one, you can draw it in many strokes or in just a single (long) one. It was when I played it that simple that the loops popped out giving some funky rhythm to the letter."
Jon Contino
"As a collector of awesome hats (all of them being Yankees-related), I wanted to make sure my next favorite organization had a killer monogram. Is it as good as the interlocking NY? No, of course not. Nothing is. Especially not a red “B.” … But as creatives, we constantly have to shoot for the stars. We have to force ourselves to try new things, to push our boundaries and attempt to learn from what we already know and improve upon it. Greatness may be out of reach for a lot of us, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try and capture it."
Faust
"I looked at monograms in athletic apparel as a starting point, but tried to make it more stylish by adding my own personal touch. Black and gold is a common motif in my work. Ultimately, I design for myself; I tried to come up with the hat that I would want to wear."
Alex Trochut
"The idea was to come up with a way to keep the WNW logo icon with the bar in the middle as a structure and then add some detail with an op-art look."
