Work With David Lee, Squarespace's Chief Creative Officer

WORKING NOT WORKING

Great creative work doesn’t just materialize. It comes from incredibly talented, hard-working, and decisive humans whose imagination, innovation, and bravery beg to have their stories told. Work With is a film series from Working Not Working that introduces you to the creatives behind the work. In the latest installment, we sit down with David Lee, the Chief Creative Officer of Squarespace.

David heads up Squarespace’s in-house creative team, overseeing everything from its brand campaigns to product design. Since joining Squarespace in 2013, he has masterminded six Super Bowl campaigns and won an Emmy Award for most Outstanding Commercial of 2017. He has also led the successful launches of Squarespace Logo and Squarespace 7, and has been named one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company.

If you’re not familiar with our friends at Squarespace, they’ve created an all-in-one platform for websites, domains, online stores, and marketing tools. Countless entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals in Working Not Working’s own global community use Squarespace to beautify their online presence and maintain their creative brand. And quite a few WNW Members have returned the favor by contributing their creative skills to some of Squarespace’s most celebrated campaigns. Like this one with Keanu Reeves. And this one with John Malkovich.

*Even this stunningly gorgeous digital Magazine you’re reading right now is built on Squarespace.
