“Fantasy Landscapes” Transports You from Avenue of the Americas to Central & South America

WORKING NOT WORKING

Last time we featured WNW Member Archie Lee Coates IV and his studio PlayLab, Inc on the Working Not Working Magazine, they were planting giant inflatable flowers along the Avenue of the Americas. A year later, they’re now refreshing their collaboration with the Avenue of Americas Association for “Fantasy Landscapes.” The large-scale, multi-site, public art installation uses the technique of classic movie backdrops to transport visitors to various environments across Central and South America. Launching now and extending until October 2019, “Fantasy Landscapes” invites visitors to wander along Sixth Avenue and immerse themselves in four different installations that represent four different locations across Central and South America: Torres Del Paine, Lake Atitlán, Atacama Desert, and Iguazu Falls. In essence, PlayLab, Inc has created a massive and manual photo booth in the center of Midtown Manhattan. Click here to learn more and plan your tour.
